The Chinese electronic giant Lenovo today launched its latest budget smartphone Vibe K5 in India. The smartphone available in gold, dark gray, and silver color options is priced at Rs. 6,999. The smartphone will go on first flash sale on June 22 at 2 pm at Amazon India.
The smartphone which was first unveiled at Mobile World Congress in February features a 5-inch HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor. The underpowered version of Vibe K5 Plus comes with a 2GB RAM and an Adreno 405 GPU.
The Vibe K5 comes with an internal storage of 16GB, and with an external microSD card, it can be further expanded to 32GB. It comes with an aluminum body and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Lenovo Vibe K5 is backed up by a 2750mAh battery.
On the camera front, the Vibe K5 features a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with an LED flash and a 5MP front camera. Along with giving a good camera option to the consumer, it also supports modes like HDR, geo-tagging and face detection.
Th dual sim phone comes with dual speakers with Dolby Atmos audio at the back. It features all the usual connectivity options including 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and also a MicroUSB port. Features like proximity sensors, ambient Light sensors, accelerometer, and gyroscope are some of the sensors on the phone.
The ultra-affordable smartphones will prove to be a competition to all the other phones that’s been launched within the price category of Rs. 10,000. For all the users in India, the sub-Rs. 10,000 price category for a smartphone is extremely popular.
Lenovo has recently been in the news for its Lenovo Tech World 2016 conference held in San Francisco on Thursday where it unveiled its new devices. The company also showed off the prototype of C Plus smartphone and the Folio tablet, which will surely change how people view technology.
