The latest information comes from popular analyst Pan Jiutang, who posted on Weibo that the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be released in August. The news is in line with Xiaomi’s co-founder Liwan Jiang earlier revelation that the company’s high-end products will be launched in August, and one among them is expected to be the Xiaomi Mi Note 2.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Specs

In terms of specifications, the upcoming Mi Note 2 is said to feature a Snapdragon 821 processor, a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED screen along with a 3,700mAh battery. The smartphone is expected to get two variants – one featuring 4GB of RAM bundled with 64GB of storage while the other with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. In other related news, the company will reportedly unveil the new Redmi Pro in China this week on July 27. The smartphone is expected to be the first device from Xiaomi to feature a dual-lens camera setup. It’ll be similar to the camera found on the LG G5, where one camera is used to capture photos while the other would capture the depth of field, similar to what can be done on a DSLR.

Xiaomi Redmi Pro Specs

In terms of specifications, the Redmi Pro is rumoured to get an OLED display though there’s still no information about the screen size and resolution. While a recent Geekbench listing suggests that the alleged smartphone will be powered by a MediaTek Helio X25 deca-core processor bundled with 4GB of RAM.

Reports also suggest a 3GB RAM variant of the smartphone. Connectivity options will include support for 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, and GPS. The Redmi Pro is expected to get a metal unibody design and will run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow bundled with the company’s MIUI skin. More details about the smartphone will emerge with it launches in China on June 27.

Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun also confirmed that the company has managed to ship 1.5 million units of the Mi Max phablet since its launch. The 1.5 million units shipped figure came from analyst Kevin Wang on Chinese social network Weibo, which was reposted by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun – validating the credibility of the number.

Besides, a new report coming out of Taiwan also suggests that Xiaomi will only ship 3,00,000 units this year of its upcoming laptop ( allegedly called the Mi Notebook), as opposed to earlier reports that shipments will cross the 1 million mark.
