Huawei launches Honor 6 Plus 4G LTE smartphones in India for Rs 26,499

The Shenzhen-based Chinese manufacturer – Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd., one of the top five smartphones maker in the world launched two new Huawei 4G LTE phones in Indian market. The Huawei Honor 6 Plus and Huawei Honor 4X smartphones priced at Rs. 26,499 and Rs. 10,999 respectively. Both the devices will be obtainable exclusively via online partner Flipkart, opening today.

At the launch event, company’s brand president – George Zaho said, “We have clocked sales of over 20 million Honor phones in 2014, accounting for a global revenue of about $2.4 billion with a 24 times increase. Honor has been expanding aggressively in global markets and has successfully launched in 57 global markets within 6 months in 2014, entering the bestselling charts in most of the European countries we launched.”

He further added, “In 2015, we aimed to achieve 7 times sales growth in Honor overseas.”
The Huawei Honor 6 Plus phablet sports a 5.5-inch full HD display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. Under the hood, there’s a HiSilicon Kirin 925 Octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and Mali 628-MP4 GPU, coupled with 3GB of RAM.

The Dual-SIM Honor 6 Plus smartphone gets 32GB of built-in storage space, which can be later expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot. On the camera part, the Honor 6 Plus sports an 8MP dual-lens and dual-flash rear snapper and also an 8MP of front-facing camera for selfie and video-calling.

The Honor 6 Plus operates on latest Android 4.4 KitKat with a layer of Huawei’s UI 3.0. Whereas, the connectivity options include 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, GPS, and Micro-USB. The handset is fueled with a powerful 3,600mAh Li-ion battery, which completes the package.

The Huawei’s budget smartphone, the Honor 4X also sports a 5.5-inch IPS display but features 720 x 1280 pixels of screen resolution. It is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and Adreno 306 GPU, along with 2GB of RAM.

 

The Huawei Honor 4X LTE smartphone gets 8GB of inbuilt storage space (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card). The handset sports a 13MP rear snapper along with Led flash and a 5MP front-facing camera.

The Honor 4X runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Emotion UI 3.0 on top and comes fitted with a removable 3000mAh Li-ion battery.

On the day ahead of the Huawei launch event, Samsung announced its two highly-priced smartphones – Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge priced at Rs. 49,000 and Rs. 58,900 respectively.
