Huawei after introducing the Honor 8 back in February and Honor 8 Pro in April, is now all set to launch both these smartphones in India within this month. The company has started teasing Honor 8 Lite’s launch since over a week now and is expected to be priced below Rs. 20,000. While on the another hand, the Honor 8 Pro will also be launched on the same day, however, the pricing of the same is a mystery at this moment. We shall know the pricing and availability details on the May 12th.
Huawei Honor 8 Lite Specifications:
The Honor 8 Lite is a trim down variant of the Honor 8, it sports a 5.2-inches Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display and is powered by the Huawei’s very own Kirin 655 SoC clocked at 2.1GHz Octa-Core 16nm processor with Mali T830-MP2 GPU. It packs 3GB RAM and 16GB storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. The Honor 8 Lite runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.0 right out of the box.
Moving to the camera department, there is a 12-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls. The Honor 8 Lite rocks a Fingerprint sensor and the connectivity options include 4G LTE, Hybrid Dual SIM (nano SIM + Nano SIM / microSD), Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS. A 3000mAh battery.
Honor 8 Pro Specifications:
On the other hand, the Honor 8 Pro packs a 5.7-inches Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) LTPS 2.5D curved glass display with a pixel density accounting to 515 PPI. It is powered by the Kirin 960 SoC clocked at 2.4GHz Quad-Core processor with Mali G71 Octa-core GPU and packs a whopping 6GB of RAM with 64GB internal storage with a microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 128GB. The Honor 8 Pro runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with Emotion UI 5.1 on top.
The device comes with dual rear camera setup just like the Huawei P9 and P10, it features a 12-megapixel (Monochrome) + 12-megapixel (RGB) Dual rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and is capable of recording 4k videos. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture for better selfies and video chats. Additionally, it rocks a Fingerprint sensor for extra security and Infrared sensor. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS, NFC, USB Type-C.
