Apple Roundup: iPhone 7 launch on September 9, Touch IC problem on iPhone 6, iPhone 7 images leak

With the iPhone launch event scheduled just two weeks from today, Apple fans around the world are just counting the days. Trusted tipster, Evan Blass has expressed his absolute confidence about the fact that the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus will be available for pre-order from Friday, September 9. He also confirmed that Apple would start selling the device on 16th September, exactly a week after pre-order starts. However, we will get to see the upcoming smartphone even earlier on September 7, when Apple will showcase it to the world.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus: What we know till now

Apple is presumed to launch two different sized variants of the iPhone this year, the iPhone 7 with a 4.7-inch display and the iPhone 7 Plus with a 5.5-inch screen. Some sources also suggest a third premium model called the iPhone 7 Pro which will basically be an iPhone 7 Plus with some extra features.

The iPhone 7 family will come with Appleā€™s customary improvements along with a few exciting changes. The most notable change will be the removal of the 3.5 mm headphone port from the forthcoming iPhones. Apple will make use of the lightning port the audio output function.

The design language will be similar to the present iPhone 6S series just with a repositioned antenna line. The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will come with a more powerful Apple A10 chipset and most probably with increased RAM too. The will almost certainly be more water resistant from the current iPhones.

The camera department will be upgraded with a better camera module in the iPhone 7. The iPhone 7 Plus is expected get a dual lens camera setup. Apple is also rumored to ditch the 16 GB variant and make 32 GB the base storage in the coming iPhones.

Touch IC problem in iPhone 6 Plus

The iPhone 6 Plus is turning out to be the most problematic among all Apple smartphones. After being mocked by the embarrassing bendgate issue, it has got a more severe touch gate problem. The touch problem is mainly affecting the iPhone 6 Pluses which have been used for a considerable time.

This new issue is affecting the Touch IC module of the iPhones and destroying the touch sensitivity. This is mainly due to the inferior quality of the protection material used for shielding the motherboard of the iPhone 6 series.

Users experiencing the touch issue are reporting a slight flickering at the top of the screen, after which the display of their iPhone 6 Plus becomes completely unresponsive to touches.
