Xiaomi has added yet another feather to its crown. After a series of speculations and rumors, the company has finally launched its first smartwatch AzureFit. As for now, the Xiaomi AmazeFit smartwatch is official in China. The wearable is co-developed by Huami which is also the company that manufactures Xiaomi Mi Bands. The latest smartwatch comes loaded with a custom made Operating System and features a broad range of functionalities. The smartwatch is now retailing in China at 799 yuan or Rs. 8,000.

The brand new wearable sports a circular dial and is surrounded by a wide ceramic bezel. You can quickly detach the band of the watch and replace it with a new one. The AmazeFit is a pretty rugged smartwatch with IP67 certified water and dust resistance. A GPS sensor is built into Xiaomi’s latest offering which makes it a perfect distance mapping utility. You can expect accurate tracking of your workouts with its standalone GPS chip.

Xiaomi AmazeFit Smartwatch Battery, Display, and RAM

Regarding the internal hardware, the new smartwatch is quite a performer. It sports a 1.34-inch round display with 300 x 320 pixels resolution. An undisclosed brand of 1.2GHz dual core processor powers the Xiaomi AmazeFit. The wearable features a respectable 512 MB of RAM along with 4 GB of internal memory.

The latest gadget comes with Bluetooth 4.0 (Low Energy) combined with 802.11n WiFi. A rechargeable 280mAh Lithium-ion cell juices up the wearable. Xiaomi has also equipped its first smartwatch with an inbuilt heart rate monitor. This advanced sensor is located at the back of the device and keeps track of the heartbeat.

Xiaomi AmazeFit Smartwatch Price and Features

Coming to the most important aspect of the smartwatch, Xiaomi has done a commendable job. The battery of AmazeFit is outstanding with the ability to last for up to five days after a full charge. However, if you continuously use the GPS tracking feature, the battery backup is cut short to about 35 hours. On the other hand, if you refrain from using the GPS, you can squeeze out a battery life of more than 11 days.

With its exceptional value for money, Xiaomi AmazeFit has the potential to make competitors like Fitbit a run for the money. The new smartwatch is now selling in China for 799 yuan or Rs, 8,000 which is quite affordable indeed considering its features.
