HP has finally launched the world’s thinnest laptop Spectre 13 in India at a price tag of Rs. 1,19,900. With a thickness of 10.4mm, HP Spectre 13 is slimmer than the Asus Zenfone Max at 10.6mm thickness, and both the 12-inch MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Air. The laptop will go on sale from June 25.
Weighing a mere 1.11 kgs, the Spectre 13 sports 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB SSD storage in the base model. The higher model, however, has an increased storage capacity of 512GB. Inside is the Intel’s sixth-gen Core processor powering the device with Intel HD Graphics. The device runs on the latest Windows 10 operating system.
The batteries fuelling the Spectre 13 is a 4-cell 38Whr Li-ion, which the company claims can keep the device running for more than 9 hours on a single charge.
HP Spectre 13 has an aluminum body, and its base is made up of carbon fiber, which makes the device lightweight. The high-end laptop features two-tone finish with a copper spine. The display is a 13.3-inch full-HD WLED-backlit IPS with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection for accidental scratches. It is the first premium laptop to boast the changed company branding.
For the connectivity, it sports three USB Type-C ports, out of which two are Thunderbolt ports. Also, there is one audio jack at the back. It features a full-sized backlit keyboard with dual HP speakers powered by Bang & Olufsen.
Also, the company has found out a way to deal with the heating issues. The Spectre 13 is equipped with the hyperbaric cooling technology that draws cool air and directs it over the processor; hence keeping the laptop cool
With the launch of Spectre 13, HP has broken the records set by Apple’s MacBook Air and has set a new benchmark for the thinnest 13-inch laptop.
