The price tag of this smartphone has enticed every single smartphone user. The sales started in February via its website, which apparently crashed within the first two days of the commencement of the sale. Approximately, seven crore people registered for the phone while only 30,000 were able to pay who were later refunded the amount.
Equipped with a 4-inch display rendering a resolution of 540×960 pixels, Freedom 251 is powered by a modest 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and comes with 1GB of RAM. The 8GB of internal storage can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card, and there is a 3.2-megapixel camera rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front cam.
Even though there has been a lot of suspicion regarding the price of the phone, Goel has reported that their company has got a ‘secret & fool-proof’ plan to justify the pricing of the phone. Meanwhile, the Noida-based firm has launched Freedom 9900 TV, six phones as well as power banks. Ringing Bells Elegance and Ringing Bells Elegant are the two smartphones launched and the other four are feature phones. The 31.5-inch HD LED TV is priced moderately at Rs. 9,900. While the powerbanks start at Rs. 399 and goes up to Rs. 699.
