Xiaomi has released its first virtual reality Mi VR Play headset in China and it looks quite amazing. The Xiaomi Mi VR headset comes in a zipper design to protect the smartphone from falling.
The Mi VR headset can be seen on the Mi official account. Meanwhile, there is no news on its availability, but Xiaomi is saying that the VR headset would be available soon.
Xiaomi Mi VR Play headset Specs
The headset comes with a Millet VR app that aggregates contents from various Chinese and international online VR friendly content providers. It supports 4.7 to 5.7-inch smartphone. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has said that the recommended devices for the VR headset are Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Xiaomi Mi 4. The VR Play headset offers immersive experience rich content, innovative design, and supports 3D movies, VR games, along with panoramic videos.
The VR headset comes with an anti-glare aspherical lens having has a tolerance of 0.01m. There is a metal button on top of the VR that helps users to interact with the surroundings. The inside of the headset has non-slip pads that help in easy access of the headset buttons.
The VR headset measures 201 x 107 x 91mm and weighs 208.7 grams. One can pick the Xiaomi VR headset in several options with personalized colors which include decorative design as well as graffiti.
Xiaomi Mi VR Play headset Price and Availability
Meanwhile, Xiaomi is taking registrations for the beta testing of the VR headset in China. There is no word on its availability in India. Whosoever would be selected for beta testing of the VR headset would get it for 1 yuan. There is no word on its price but it is expected to be priced at 49 yuan, which translates to Rs. 490 approx.
