Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new handset called the Pocophone F1. The device is said to be the first smartphone from the company’s latest Pocophone series. Fresh reports now indicate that the Pocophone F1 could launch in India by the end of this year. In addition, new information about the handset has surfaced online thanks to a couple of leaked videos.
The new leak also falls in line with earlier rumours about the device, hinting at Snapdragon 845 processor under Pocophone F1’s hood. Besides, these videos also gave us a first alleged look at the rumoured handset.
One of the leaked videos (posted by Slashleaks) shows the handset’s design and its retail box which reveals keys specs such as Snapdragon 845 with liquid cooling system, 20MP selfie-camera, 4000mAh battery, and Face Unlock. It also confirms the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack as well as a USB Type C port.
The second video, on the other hand, shows the Pocophone F1 running the Antutu benchmark test where it scores 258,149 points.
Besides, key sources also suggest that the handset’s is all set to launch in India around mid September or early October. Additionally, Xiaomi has officially teased the Poco sub-brand on its Twitter page. Not only has the company teased the brand, it has also confirmed that Poco smartphones will be released in India. It’s also worth noting that Xiaomi trademarked the Pocophone brand for international markets a while back. However, the new brand name, for now at least, is marketed as Poco in India.
