Xiaomi Mi 5s price and camera samples reveal bigger Mi 5s Plus variant

Rumors about the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5s have been doing for a while now. Leaked specifications have already revealed that the smartphone is going to be flagship grade, and now Mi 5s camera samples have surfaced online which demonstrates its camera quality. The first camera samples are released by Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun on his Weibo account. Meanwhile, the price of the smartphone is also out reportedly.

The sample leaves no room for speculation and makes clear that the camera would be one of the USPs of the phone to watch out for. A source reveals that the picture has been shot with f/2.0 aperture, ISO 100, and 1/750s shutter speed. The camera samples also confirm that it would be called ‘Xiaomi Mi 5s and not Mi Note S as per the recent rumors.

Xiaomi Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus Price and Specifications

The Mi 5s pricing detail reveals that there would be two models of the phone – Xiaomi Mi 5s and Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus. The prices leaked of both the smartphones seem reasonable. The Mi 5s packing Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB RAM and 6GB storage capacity will cost CNY 1,999 or $299 (around Rs. 20,000). Different RAM and storage capacities are expected.

The bigger Plus size variant is likely to feature a display of 5.7-inch QHD. All other specifications are expected to remain same with Snapdragon 821 processor and 6GB RAM. The inbuilt storage capacity on Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus will be 256GB. The bigger Mi 5s sibling is expected to cost CNY 2,999 or $449 (close to Rs. 30,000).

A couple of days back, the Chinese smartphone maker teased the performance of Mi 5s with the benchmark score. It showed that the smartphone scored 164119 on Antutu, confirming in a way that it is powered by the latest Snapdragon 821 SoC. Other details known about the next Xiaomi phone is that it will have Snapdragon Sense ID. Touted to be an enhanced release of Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship, the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor will be located just below the physical home button of the phone. This is for the first time the Xiaomi is gearing up to make use of the fingerprint sensor manufactured by Qualcomm.
