Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra to Launch Alongside Galaxy S25 Series

Samsung is set to make a significant impact in the smartphone market with the upcoming launch of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, alongside the Galaxy S25 series. Here’s what we know so far about these much-anticipated devices.

Design and Display

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to feature a boxier design compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 5. The fully-opened dimensions of the device will be 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1 mm, making it slightly shorter but wider than the previous model. This foldable will retain its 7.6-inch primary display and 6.2-inch cover screen, both of which are likely to feature Corning Gorilla Armor for enhanced durability.

Specifications and Performance

Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, which promises a significant boost in performance. This chipset will be paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and ample storage space for users. The device will run on Android 14 with Samsung’s One UI skin on top.

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra variant is rumored to come with even more premium specifications. It may feature a built-in S Pen silo, a feature that has been highly requested by users. This model is also expected to boast a higher resolution display and potentially more advanced camera capabilities.

Camera

The camera setup on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to be similar to the Z Fold 5, featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens. However, there are speculations that the Ultra model might incorporate a 200MP sensor, similar to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, enhancing its photography capabilities significantly.

Battery and Charging

Battery life is another area where improvements are anticipated. The standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to house a 4,400mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. There are conflicting reports about the Ultra model, with some sources suggesting it might feature a slightly larger battery for extended use.

Launch Details

Samsung has not officially announced the launch date for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 series, but it is expected to be unveiled at the next Samsung Unpacked event, typically held in July. This launch will likely coincide with the release of the Galaxy S25 series, which is set to introduce significant design and performance upgrades.

Colors and Variants

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be available in several color options, including Navy, Silver Shadow, Light Pink, Crafted Black, and White. Some colors might be exclusive to Samsung’s official store. Additionally, there are rumors of a cheaper Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE model aimed at providing foldable technology at a more accessible price point.
