A few days back TMI had reported that Samsung Galaxy On8 is going to be launched soon during Flipkart’s Big Billion Day. The event is scheduled to be held from 2nd to 6th October. Now, a product page for the Galaxy On lineup that is going to be introduced in the country is already featuring on Flipkart. The ad shows that the next Galaxy On smartphone will have Super AMOLED Full HD display and a 3GB RAM.
Samsung Galaxy On8 Specifications and Features
China hosted the launch of Galaxy On7 2016, last week. It has a Full HD 5.5-inch display at a price equivalent to Rs. 16,035. It packs a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU. All this hosts a 32GB internal memory, expandable up to 128GB. And a powerful 3,300 mAh battery. These specs are housed by a full metal unibody, which has a fingerprint sensor on the home button.
Other hardware includes 13-MP rear camera with a f/1.9 aperture with a LED flashlight, an 8-MP selfie camera with a f/1.9 aperture in its front. As far as the connectivity is concerned, the device has Hybrid Dual-SIM, 4G on LTE, WiFi, 4.2 Bluetooth and GPS.
Reportedly Samsung will relaunch the Galaxy Note 7 on October 7 alongside Apple iPhone 7. All these dates fall in the heart of the festive season in India. Clearly, the company is trying to capitalize on the potential that these festivals have. Banking on the tendency to spend more, the increase in price because of throwing in higher specs may not be that big a factor. The Galaxy On series is usually priced around or less than Rs. 10,000 in India, but considering the speculated spec-sheet, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a tag of Rs. 12,000.
