Samsung Galaxy Note 7 launched in India, pre-orders start August 22

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has been launched in India with Exynos 8890 octa-core processor in Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium, and Black Onyx color variants at Rs. 59900. The device will be available for purchase on September 2. However, if you pre-order the device from August 22 to 30, you will be eligible to get a Gear VR headset for Rs. 1990. The new Galaxy Note 7 comes with advanced features such as Iris scanner, fast charging in addition to cloud storage and water resistant capabilities. Moreover, the Galaxy Note 7 is the first device to ship with the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 5 instead of Glass 4 in the Galaxy Note 5. The Iris scanner enables you to easily unlock the device using your eyes.

The device also enables you to access features such as Samsung Pass, Samsung Cloud for data backup, and Knox for device security with the ability to charge the device wirelessly. The new Galaxy Note 7 is designed in such a way that it is fully compatible with the delivery of the compelling VR content.

According to Samsung, the new Galaxy Note 7 offers 31 percent more processing power and 58 percent additional graphics workhorse than the previous Galaxy Note 5. Moreover, the addition of 4GB RAM helps you to work without any lags.

Commenting on the new Galaxy Note 7, Manu Sharma, VP, Samsung Mobiles revealed that the new device combines sleek design with innovative features for productivity and entertainment. Moreover, you will be able to create and share GIF animations with the improved Smart Select feature.

Display

Equipped with a 5.7-inch dual-curved quad HD Super AMOLED bezel-less display, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 integrates a 3500mAh battery with fast charging support. The Always On display feature enables you to easily take notes and verify notifications.

To save power, Samsung Galaxy Note 7 offers a choice to select a display resolution of your choice. You can opt for HD, FHD or QHD depending upon the program/app you are running.

Processor

The smartphone integrates a 64-bit octa-core Exynos processor coupled with Vulcan API for high-quality graphics performance.

Latest storage technology

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 provides latest UFS 2.0 storage technology. Hence, you will be able to open programs and apps quickly than the previous counterpart. Moreover, the device ships with 64GB of expandable internal storage, which is sufficient for storing plenty of content. The handset also includes a new feature called Secure Folder, which can be used to store confidential documents using biometrics locking mechanism.

Imaging

Talking about the camera, the new Samsung Galaxy Note 7 ships with a 12-megapixel dual-pixel rear camera paired with OIS, f/1.7 aperture, and dual-LED flash. Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Availability

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will be available for pre-order from August 22 to 30 on both Samsung official and retail stores across India. You will be able to buy the device for Rs. 59900 on September 2. Samsung has bundled 90 days unlimited voice and data services from Reliance Jio along with he Galaxy Note 7. Moreover, you will get 15GB of free cloud storage on Samsung Cloud.

Accessories

In addition to Gear VR priced at Rs. 7290, Samsung also launched the Gear IconX and the Gear Fit 2 priced at Rs. 13490 and Rs. 13990 respectively. Even though the price of Gear VR is Rs. 7290, you can get it for Rs. 1990 if you pre-order the device between August 22 to August 30.
