Competing Devices

If you look at the competitors like LeTv Le 1S and Redmi Note 3, Oppo F1 Plus clearly wins the race. While both Le 1S and Redmi Note 3 offer only 32GB of storage, the Oppo F1 Plus offers 64GB of default storage space, which is plenty for storing a huge number of selfies. Moreover, Le 1S does not provide a facility to upgrade the storage space, which means you don’t have any choice if you exceed the total allocates storage limit. Oppo F1 Plus also wins on the performance side since it is equipped with 4GB of RAM instead of 3GB in Le 1S and Note 3.

There are wide spreads reports of the heating and issues pertaining to camera quality in Le 1S, although the company has issued OTA updates to address the problems but we have not seen any such reports in case of Oppo F1 Plus.

The big advantage of devices like Le 1S and Redmi Note 3 is the regular release of updates with new features and bug fixes. It remains to be seen how often Oppo provides updates to its consumers.

When it comes to battery backup, Redmi Note 3 wins since it is equipped with a 4000mAh battery whereas Oppo F1 Plus and Le 1S comes with 2850mAh and 3000mAh battery respectively. As you can see, the total battery capacity of Oppo F1 Plus is lower than the other two competing smartphones.

Price

The price factor is a big issue when it comes to Oppo F1 Plus since the device is available at Rs. 26990, which is significantly higher than budget Le 1S (Rs. 10999) and Redmi Note 3 (Rs. 9999). If you are not concerned about the price and love selfie photography, you can buy Oppo F1 Plus because it contains advanced features not found in any budget devices.

Samsung Galaxy S7 (Rs. 48900) and S7 Edge (Rs. 56990) is also a tight competitor to Oppo F1 Plus but the devices are priced in such a way that normal budget users will not be able to purchase it.

In March, Oppo has released a special edition F1 during the ICC WT20 cricket tournament bundled with selfie stick and other accessories in a special package.
