OnePlus 2 16GB internal storage variant now available to buy at Rs. 22,999 via Amazon India

OnePlus 2 16GB Black

OnePlus has launched a new 16GB variant of its premium flagship smartphone, OnePlus 2. Priced at Rs. 22,999, the smartphone in Black is listed and available to buy exclusively from Amazon India. Unlike other smartphones, the 16GB OnePlus 2 does not provide an option for expansion of storage via microSD card.

Equipped with a 5.5-inch FHD (1080 x 1920) IPS display with a pixel density of 401 PPI, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1500:1 contrast ratio, OnePlus 2 16GB internal storage variant flaunts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM including Fingerprint sensor.

Designed using a premium stainless steel frame, the multi-touch smartphone delivers 178-degrees viewing angle with 4G capabilities.

Taking about the photography specifications, OnePlus 2 sports a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 Aperture, 1.3 µm Pixels, 6-lenses, Dual LED Flash, Advanced Laser Autofocus with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) in addition to 5MP front-facing shooter.

According to analysts, OnePlus 2 16GB variant doesn’t look attractive especially when the app size is becoming bigger. Moreover, the 13MP primary camera is capable of delivering images and videos up to 4k, and hence, the individual files occupy large storage space due to high-quality pictures and videos, and you will quickly view ‘memory full’ message.

Powered by a 3300mAh Li-Po battery, the dual Nano SIM based OnePlus 2 provides support for quick charging via USB Type-C port and also includes a 3-way physical alert toggle switch.

Integrated with Waves MaxxAudio sound technology, OnePlus 2 features OxygenOS with support for off-screen gestures, customizable buttons, dark mode, custom icon packs in addition to several audio enhancements.

While OnePlus 2 64GB variant is available for Rs. 24,999, the 16GB model is priced at Rs. 22,999 with a difference of only Rs. 2,000.

The OnePlus 2 16GB variant will be useful for those users who prefer a smartphone with premium features. But still we can’t understand the logic behind the pricing structure of OnePlus 2 16GB, especially for a smartphone which doesn’t provide storage expansion capabilities.
