Motorola officially announces Moto Z2 Force with Shatterproof display and Snapdragon 835

Motorola has finally taken wraps off the Moto Z2 force after teasing for a while now. The device comes with a 5.5-inches Quad HD AMOLED POLED ShatterShield, shatterproof display and is powered by the Qualcomm’s latest flagship chipset; Snapdragon 835 SoC with 4GB RAM. The company is offering 4 years warranty against shattering and cracking of display and embedded lens.

Pricing and Availability: The Moto Z2 Force comes in Fine Gold and Super Black colours and is priced at $799.99 (Rs. 51535 approx.) in the U.S. You can purchase the device with $30 per month on-contract. The company is offering free Moto Insta-Share Projector Moto Mod for purchases till September 9, 2017. The device will be available for pre-order today from AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon, Best Buy and Motorola.com and would be available from August 10. The company will roll out the device in other markets gradually.

Moto Z2 Force specifications: The Motorola Moto Z2 Force sports a 5.5-inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED POLED ShatterShield, shatterproof display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC clocked at 2.45GHz Octa-Core Mobile Platform with Adreno 540 GPU. There is 4GB RAM and 64GB storage which can be further expandable up to 2TB via a microSD. The device runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

Moving to the camera department, the device features 12-megapixel dual rear cameras (monochrome + color) with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX386 sensors, ƒ/2.0 aperture, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF, Laser Auto Focus, and can record UHD 4K videos. On the front, there is a 5-megapixel front camera with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 85-degree wide-angle lens for selfies and video calls. Additionally, the device rocks a Fingerprint sensor for security, Water repellent nano-coating, Front-firing loud speaker with 3 Mics

Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, Dual/Single SIM, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 and 5 GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2 (5.0 enabled after Android O), GPS with GLONASS, NFC, and USB Type-C port for charging and data synch. A 2730mAh battery with Turbo Charging support is on board.
