Microsoft seems sure of the success of Nokia branded feature phones. After the launch of Nokia 216 in India, the company has introduced yet another feature phone in the country, the Nokia 216 Dual SIM. The price of Rs. 2,495 is in accordance with what the feature phones cost and will be available in Black, Grey, and Blue color variants from 24 of the next month.
Nokia 216 Dual SIM Specifications
Measuring 118.0×50.02×13.5 mm and weighing 83 grams, the Nokia 216 Dual SIM comes in a polycarbonate body and features a QVGA display of 2.4 inches. Both the rear and front has a basic 0.3MP VGA camera with LED Flash. The phone runs on Nokia Series 30+ OS and comes with support for MicroSD card slot. Users can store up to 32GB of data. The packs a 1020mAh battery, which Microsoft claims would last 18 hours of talk time and up to 19 days on standby mode.
The phone comprises of connectivity features like Bluetooth 3.0, Micro-USB, and 3.5mm jack. It doesn’t have a panic button, which could have been integrated to the phone.
The Nokia 216 Dual SIM by Microsoft doesn’t offer much, but then it’s also true that we can’t expect more from a feature phone. The news of this feature phone launch has come as a surprise since Microsoft is selling its feature phone division to Foxconn and HMD Global. Probably, this is the last feature phone by Microsoft.
It’s not certain if the Nokia 216 would success as smartphones has taken over the market, be it Tier-I, II or III. Bigger touch screen smartphones are preferred by everyone these days. But it’s a sweet deal for those who prefer compact phone with limited, essential features.
