Micromax launched its new tablet, Canvas P701 exclusively on Flipkart for Rs. 7,250. This comes after the launch of the P702 in March, which was priced at Rs. 7,999. The device has a smooth gloss finish with a sleek build and comes in Blue and Grey colour options.
Much like the P702, the P701 runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and features a 7-inch IPS display. The device is powered by a 1 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor, paired with 1GB of RAM. The internal storage is 8GB (expandable via microSD up to 32GB). The camera again is the same as the predecessor: 5 MP-rear and 2 MP-front with autofocus on both sides and LED flash on the rear.
As far as the connectivity is concerned, it supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB connectivity. The phone supports 4G connectivity on one SIM slot, whereas the other one supports 3G with a facility of video and voice calling. The tablet supports both TDD & FDD, making it best for both the spectrum availability leading to greater connectivity.
The tablet comes with a 3500mAh battery, which can deliver up to 15 hours of talk time and 4.5 hours of browsing. The device also comes pre-loaded with seven Kindle e-books, worth Rs. 1,500.
