Micromax Canvas Tab P702 with 4G support is launched in India, available on Snapdeal. The 4G enabled tablet has key features such as 7-inch HD display, 2GB RAM and support for 4G LTE. Priced at Rs. 7,999, homegrown brand Micromax came up with a budget 4G tablet that’s available on e-commerce portal in two colours black and white options.

While commenting on the launch, Shubhajit Sen, CMO, Micromax Informatics, stated that with greater access to wireless broadband connectivity, the demand for devices with larger display sizes have attained great importance.

Moreover, with massive adoption of 4G services especially in high-speed wireless streaming, the tablet market in India is poised to grow on a large scale by the end of 2016. Meanwhile, there is a trend among users to invest for an affordable bigger size tablet than over-priced smartphones and phablets.

Sen also disclosed that Micromax Canvas Tab P702 is aimed at increasing tablet usability among Indias. He further revealed Micromax is committed to increasing the lower penetration level of tablets in India by introducing innovative products addressing the needs of the digital consumers.

Specs wise, Micromax Canvas Tab P702, flaunts a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT8735 Quad-Core Processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage (expandable up to 32GB), 5MP primary camera including a 2MP front- facing shooter. The device is loaded with Android Lollipop 5.1 with the capability to use dual 4G SIM cards.

Micromax incorporated MediaTek MT8735 processor into Canvas Tab P702 that includes advanced features such as LTE cat.4 and 3D graphics to deliver advanced gaming and home theatre experience.

Terming the partnership with Micromax as fruitful, Dr. Finbarr Moynihan, General Manager – Corporate Sales International, MediaTek revealed that his company has decided to collaborate with Micromax Canvas Tab P702 to bring the 4G product legacy from smartphones to tablets.

Moynihan further added that the MT8735 chipset offers enhanced entertainment, seamless gaming and video experiences. Moreover, the tablet is expected to find a place with youths who prefer devices with larger size displays.

Meanwhile, Tony Navin, Senior Vice President – Partnerships and Strategic Initiatives, Snapdeal said that the company is excited to add Micromax Canvas Tab P702 to their emerging catalogue of Micromax products which are very popular among their customers.
