Year 2016 will come to an end soon and Lenovo-owned Motorola is gearing up to add one more smartphone to its kitty. Motorola is expected to launch the much-anticipated Moto M in India on December 13. The company has started to mail media invites for the launch event, which will take place in Mumbai. Moreover, the company has released exclusive teasers on its official Twitter handle with tagline “Massive Sound”, “Memorable Clicks” and “Matchless Ease” including a video.

The brown background media invite features a tagline “Mesmerizing, masterful, majestic (just like you),” along with a rough sketch of the upcoming smartphone, which showcases the rear side.
If you inspect the rough render of the handset on the invite, you can visualize the pill-shaped camera module in addition to the fingerprint sensor in a circular shape.
Moto M features Dolby Atmos speakers
The main highlight of Moto M will be the integration of Dolby Atmos sounding system including a superior nano coating. Based on the reports available so far, the Moto M will ship with water-resistant capabilities.
Launched in China in November 2016, the forthcoming Moto M is expected to be designed using a metal unibody design that equally matches your mettle. Moreover, it will be the first Motorola handset to ship with a fingerprint sensor on the rear.

On the specifications front, the Moto M features a 5.5-inch Full HD 2.5D curved glass display, Helio P15 quad-core processor, Mali T860MP2 graphics, 4GB RAM in addition to 32GB expandable internal storage. You will be able to expand the storage up to 256GB.
The rear camera features a 16MP sensor coupled with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash, and PDAF support. However, the front-facing shooter will be equipped with an 8MP sensor. If you are a fan of the selfie, you will be able to capture excellent snaps due to the enhanced sensor. A 3050mAh battery with Turbo Charging support via USB Type-C port completes the package.
In addition to 4G VoLTE, the upcoming Moto handset will offer support for hybrid dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, NFC including headphone jack. Although Moto M will be pre-loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, you can expect an update to Android Nougat within the next few days.
In China, the Moto M is available at RMB 1999. Hence, you can expect the cost of the smartphone in India at Rs. 20000. The phone will have to face tough competition from the likes of Xiaomi Mi 5 and Honor 8 Smart.
