Lenovo K5 Note with 4GB RAM to be Flipkart exclusive

Lenovo is all set to launch its K5 Note smartphone in India on August 1. Now the company has stated that the smartphone will be available exclusively on Flipkart. The company confirmed the launch date by sending out press invites. It also shared the news on its Twitter account.

The successor to the K4 Note, the smartphone features several improvements such as an all-metal body unlike the plastic build of its predecessors, along with the addition of a fingerprint scanner. Lenovo K5 Note India also packs Dolby Atmos speakers, just like the K4 Note.

In terms of specifications, the Lenovo K5 Note is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor bundled with either 2GB/3GB of RAM and Mali-T860 GPU. It comes with 16GB of onboard storage expandable up to 128GB via microSD slot. The smartphone rocks a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display, same as the K4 Note.

Optics on the smartphone include a 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus), along with an 8MP front-facing camera. The device is capable of recording full HD 1080P videos at 30 frames per second. The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with the company’s proprietary Vibe UI on top, though Lenovo might launch the phone with updated Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 in India. Juicing up the device is a 3500 mAh Lithium Polymer battery.

The K5 Note offers a raft of connectivity options such as dual band supported WiFi – 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v 4.1 (LE), 4G LTE with dual SIM, dual standby facility. It also features a digital compass, accelerometer, proximity, and ambient light sensors.

The Lenovo K5 Note will be available in Gold and Silver color options, and is expected to be priced around Rs. 11,000 in India. The smartphone will rival the likes of the Redmi Note 3, the Moto G4 Plus and Moto G4, along with offerings from the likes of Micromax, LeEco, and Vivo.
