LeEco Le 2S launch date tipped between September 7-9

According to some unconfirmed sources, LeEco Le 2s will launch between in the first week of September, possibly between September 7-9. The device has made quite a buzz in the smartphone market. Only yesterday did the LeEco Le 2s spotted online and was speculated to feature 8GB RAM and 64GB internal storage space. More devices to launch in September are Android Nougat and Play Station 4. The PS4 is supposed to be launched on September 7, the same day as Apple’s fall conference. The upgraded version of Le 2, Le 2S will be a parallel move forward as the Le 1 to Le 1S. This could mean that there are not many changes. The tradition of the “S’s” was started by Apple with the iPhone and has been adapted by a lot of their counterparts to introduce hardware and software upgrades to the existing devices.

LeEco Le 2s Specs: 8GB RAM, 64GB storage, Snapdragon 821

The Le 2S is supposed to be launched with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (it is most likely to be the latest Snapdragon 821). The existing LeEco Le 2 has two models, one with Helio X20 and one with Snapdragon 652. This kind of a diversity increases the reach of the brand massively, especially in a population like India and China.

The Le 2S is said to come packed with 8GB RAM, paired with 64GB of storage. It will also come in dual camera and single camera variants.

Recently an image surfaced on the internet which was said to be that of the upcoming Cool1. But now it seems like it was that of Le 2S. This is a lone image out there, and not much has been said about it. There has been no official statement from the company. From the looks of the device, it seems to have slightly lesser bezel than its predecessor. The earpiece, the front camera, and the sensor are similarly placed as the Le 2.

The Cool1 that is supposed to be launched on 16 August is said to have a 5.5-inch 2K display, packing the Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood. It is also said to be equipped with 4GB RAM along with 64GB of internal storage.

It is set to feature a 13MP dual camera on the rear and a 5MP front-facing camera. A fingerprint sensor is said to be housed on the back as well. As far as the battery is concerned, it could well be 4200mAh. Good enough to last over a day.

Big launches await us in the coming eight weeks. The excitement hasn’t been this big so far, this year. There surely is more to come. Stay tuned for more updates.
