iBall has launched its latest smartphone, the iBall Andi 5L Rider, priced at Rs. 4,999. It will be available in white, brown and blue colour options.
The device features a 5-inch full capacitive IPS display (854×480). Powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, it is paired with 1GB of RAM. It also comes packed with 8GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
The iBall Andi 5L Rider sports a 5MP primary camera with auto-focus and LED flash, and a 2MP secondary camera. It has a 2,300mAh battery. The smartphone supports 3G, dual-SIM, Bluetooth version 4.0, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
As far as the specifications are concerned, the iBall Andi 5L Rider will be up against a slew of entry-level Android smartphones. While iBall Andi 5L Rider supports 3G, smartphones like the Reliance LYF Flame 5 and Phicomm Clue 630 supports 4G. Reliance has on offer a few entry-level smartphones like Flame series for as low as Rs 2,999.

Last month the company launched its Andi 5Q Gold 4G smartphone at Rs. 6,799. The handset featured a 5-inch HD IPS display, 8MP primary and 5MP secondary camera and 3000mAh battery. It Android 5.1 Lollipop and is powered by 1GHz quad-core processor backed by 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage.
iBall is known for low budget tech and hasn’t quite faired well in the smartphone world, with this device it is up against some serious competition. The device will have to deliver extraordinarily, as far as the performance is concerned. How good it actually is? One will have to wait and watch.
