Rumors about upcoming Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones have been churning out for quite some time. Now we have yet another leak which reveals the Pixel XL in white color variant and draws light on some of the phone’s features. The Google Pixel and Pixel XL photo leak give an idea about the fingerprint scanner on the back, a rear camera with flash and speaker grills, while the front shows a camera on top of the device with speaker grills.
The new leak about the larger model is in line with what we’ve seen with past leaks and rumors. Though, the leak shows a white variant of Google Pixel XL, where one can clearly see a physical home button right below the display, something we never came across until today.

Besides, the Pixel XL smartphone – also known as Marlin – also showed up on Geekbench. While this isn’t the first time Pixel XL has surfaced on Geekbench, regardless, the listing confirms that the smartphone will pack 4GB of RAM and run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. However, there’s still no confirmation about the phone’s processor.
Earlier reports suggest that both Pixel smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821, while some suggest they’ll get Snapdragon 820. Though what we do know is that Pixel XL’s processor features 4 cores and is clocked at 1.59 GHz.
It’ll be interesting to see which processor Google will equip in its upcoming Pixel smartphones. That said, we do expect them to be powerful enough to compete with other flagship launches of the year.
Google Pixel and Pixel XL Specifications and Price
The smaller Pixel aka HTC Sailfish is expected to pack a 5-inch Full HD display, while the higher-end Pixel XL aka HTC Marlin is said to get a 5.5-inch Quad HD display.
While just last week, a new report tipped that the Pixel XL will be priced at $649. If this turns out to be true, it will bring the Pixel XL in line with last year’s Nexus 6P, which was also priced at $649. However, this could be the price of its base 32GB model, which makes it similarly priced as the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the iPhone 7.
Google is expected to hold an event on October 4, where it is said to announce the new Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones. In addition, the company might also announce the rumored 7-inch Huawei-built at the event, along with a new Chromecast with 4K playback, Google Home, and the DayDream VR headset.
