The search engine giant Google has added six-second video previews to its mobile search results. It seems to be the most significant and crucial update after a long time for Google. Moreover, this update will be based on Google smart machine learning algorithm which extracts the significant portion of the video and displays the six-second preview of the Video. Google has rolled out the update and will be expanded globally in upcoming weeks.

However, this major update will only work on Android Google app and Google Chrome. This update will cover almost all genre of Videos, as Emily Moxley, Google’s Director of Product Management quoted that

Any video on the web is eligible for inclusion, though Google may not have a preview for some of the newest videos available yet because it takes the servers a bit of time to build the previews.

Furthermore, this feature by default executes on Wi-Fi. But if users want to run this feature on mobile data they can do that by activating the mobile data from the network connection option in the phone setting. Before this crucial update, on August 17th Google added Question and Answer feature to Google Maps and mobile search to help users to get information about places they want to go. Also, the company is working on a lite app of Google for regions with a patchy internet connection.

For the Indians domain audience, the Google search the last update comes with the feature like an introduction of a doodle, offline Voice actions (play music, turn on/off WiFi, etc.), and an opening of web pages directly in the app itself. We hope this current update will be available for Indian users in upcoming weeks.
