And now to the latest leak by David Ruddock; managing editor of tech site Android Police claims that Android O is going to be released along with its name on August 21.

However, there is no official confirmation provided by the company regarding this report. On the features end, Android O is expected to be rolled out with more refined UI experience with a plethora of new features and superior battery optimization.

Android O has undergone developer testing as it four beta versions were released so far. This latest OS is expected to come with features like notification channels, shortcut pinning, auto-fill, picture-in-picture, smarter text selection. Further, the Android O will provide a simplified and better-organized settings menu, reduced numbers of setting tabs (may be up to 12 as compared to Andriod Nougat which as 20).

Furthermore, the Google has also worked hard to the audio interface by introducing the new LDAC audio codec. LDAC codec is Sony proprietary tech, and they donated the codec to Google for inclusion in Android O. In the camera section, Android O may come with a dedicated button for switching between the photo and video modes as compared to previously swiping gesture.
