On Thursday, Ford India introduced a trendy “ black edition “ of its popular sub – compact SUV – EcoSport, at a starting price of 8.58 lakhs
Design
The new black edition has some of the cosmetic updates and as the name suggests – certain elements have been blacked out for a sporty look.
The SUV will offer aggressive yet sophisticated all- black exterior including front grille changed to black chrome along with matching black alloy wheels, black ORVM covers, black roof rails, black-out moulded headlamps and roof crossbars.
Engine
There are no mechanical changes in the black edition. The SUV will be offered in the same three powertrains, i.e., Ford’s trusted 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine with both manual and automatic transmission option, 1.5 – litre TDCi diesel engine and globally – acclaimed 1.0 EcoBoost engine.
