Asus Zenfone 3 Max launched in India starting at Rs 12999

Asus has launched Zenfone 3 Max with the 4100mAh battery in India starting at Rs. 12999. The smartphone forms part of a new addition to the existing Zenfone 3 series comprising of Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Zenfone 3 Ultra and Zenfone 3. The 5.5-inch variant of Asus Zenfone 3 Max is available at Rs. 17,999. However, the 5.2-inch HD display model is available for Rs. 12,999.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max is available in two display sizes such as 5.2-inch (ZC520TL) and 5.5-inch (ZC553KL). The handset is equipped with a metal unibody paired with 2.5D curved glass design.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max offers huge backup time

The Zenfone 3 Max has been manufactured in such a way to provide 38 days of standby time and 17 hours of talk time respectively. Moreover, the new offering from Asus will provide support for reverse charging and will also serve as a power bank. Asus has infused same battery with both 5.2-inch and 5.5-inch display variants.

Asus Zenfone 3 Max specifications

On the specifications front, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max features a 5.5-inch FHD display, Snapdragon 430 processor, Adreno 505 graphics, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage. You will be able to expand the storage up to 128GB via microSD card.

The 4G VoLTE-enabled phone offers 16MP rear camera sensor with support for PDAF, laser autofocus, and f/2.0 aperture. Talking about the front-facing snapper, the handset offers 8MP sensor with newly introduced Beautification modes.

On the other hand, the Zenfone 3 Max with SKU ZC520TL features a 5.2-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display, MediaTek MT6737T processor powered by 1.25GHz. Talking about the camera, the 5.2-inch model of Zenfone 3 Max offers a 13MP rear camera sensor with dual LED flash coupled with a 5MP front-facing snapper.

The main highlight of Asus Zenfone 3 Max is that both the rear and front camera has the capability to capture videos in FHD resolution. The Zenfone 3 Max will also feature a fingerprint sensor on the rear. Furthermore, the phone offers support for all major connectivity features.

The dual SIM Asus Zenfone 3 Max will be loaded with Android v6.0.1 Marshmallow on top of ZenUI 3.0 OS. The handset will be available in titanium grey, glacier silver and sand gold color variants.

While the Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL – 5.5-inch) is priced at Rs. 17999, the the Zenfone 3 Max (ZC520TL – 5.2-inch) is available at Rs. 12999. The 5.2-inch model of Asus Zenfone 3 Max is currently available on Snapdeal. If you purchase with a debit or credit card, you can avail 10% discount upto maximum of Rs. 500 until November 10.

Previously, the Asus Zenfone Max was launched with a massive 5000mAh battery at Rs. 9999. If you look at Xiaomi Redmi 3S and Redmi 3 Prime, you can observe that the phone ships with a 4100mAh battery priced at Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 8,999 respectively. In future, we can expect more smartphones to ship with more than the 4000mAh battery.
