Asus showcased a teaser of its upcoming Zenfone Max in an official promo video, and this indicates the signal that the device will be launched soon.
Asus Zenfone Max will have a big 5.5 inches IPS HD display panel with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. The device will be powered with Android Lollipop on the top of Asus ZenUI.
According to official sources, Asus Zenfone Max will ship in both 8 and 16 GB storage variants with 2GB of RAM along with expandable capability up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The device will include 13MP primary camera with laser autofocus, dual-LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, panorama and HDR. However, the device only includes 5MP secondary camera which is disappointing. We expect Asus to provide at least 8MP front camera for capturing great selfies.
Zenfone Max includes a non-removable 5000 mAh Li-Po battery which provides an ability of up to 38 hours Talktime and 33 hours of Wi-Fi.

According to reports coming in, ZenFone Max can also be used as a power bank that enables you to charge other devices. The Li-Po batteries provide enhanced backup than the traditional Lithium-ion batteries.
Asus Zenfone Max ships with a faux leather rear cover and measures 202 grams in weight, which we believe is not high for a smartphone with 5,000 mAh battery. We hope the device will be priced below INR 12,000 and will prove to be a tough competitor for Xiaomi.
Asus Zenfone Zoom was announced in January and is scheduled to be released anytime in December 2015.
The device sports a 5.5 inch IPS display with Full HD resolution that produces rich and sharp images. The device will be powered with Android Lollipop. According to reliable sources, Zenfone Zoom ships in four formats of 1GB6, 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage space with both 2GB and 4GB RAM.
The remaining features are same as Zenfone Max with the exception that Zoom will have only 3,000 mAh battery. The handset will be available by the end of December 2015 in Meteorite Black, Glacier White colours.
We expect that the device will be priced higher at around INR 15,000 because of its enhanced display and storage capacities.
