Two major smartphone manufacturers Xiaomi and Samsung have announced a price cut on some of their best-selling smartphones. The Xiaomi Mi 5 and Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge have got a major and permanent price cut of Rs. 2,000 and Rs. 5,000 each. The new price of Xiaomi Mi 5 is now Rs. 22,999 down from Rs. 24,999. The device is available on Flipkart and Mi official store. The discount is on all three colors of Mi 5 – White, Black, and Gold.
Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are now available at a discounted price of Rs. 43,400 and Rs. 50,900 each. A flat Rs. 5,000 discount on both the devices, which were launched for Rs. 48,900 and 56,900 respectively.

Recalling the specifications of Xiaomi Mi 5, the smartphone features a 5.15-inch ultra-bright Full HD display, Snapdragon 820 Kryo 1.8GHz processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB UFS 2.0 Flash. Moreover, the display integrates a pixel density of 428 PPI enables you to read more content in a small display with 600-nit brightness.
While the primary camera included with 4G dual SIM device is a 16MP sensor coupled with 4-axis OIS, 6-piece lens, 6-piece lens and two-tone flash, the front-facing snapper is accompanied by a 4MP sensor with support for 36 smart beauty profiles, large 2-micron pixels, f/2.0, 80-degree wide angle lens, selfie countdown and face recognition.
Talking about specifications, Galaxy S7 and S7 edge comes with Exynos 8890 processor, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM, 32 internal storage (expandable up to 200GB), Always-On Display, IP68 water and dust-resistant capabilities.

Both the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge handsets equip a dual pixel 12-megapixel rear F1.7 aperture camera with Smart OIS and dual-pixel technology alongside 5-megapixel front camera with F1.7 aperture. Both Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge features a glass-metal design with the curved rear, but the handsets are slightly thicker than its previous counterparts.
