Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is rumored to be unveiled in three variants on the sidelines of MWC 2016 in Barcelona. Rumors are stating that the device will be shipped with a Gear VR headset for free. With the approximate retailvailability of the device slated for March 11, the pre-orders will end by March 10. We don’t have accurate information as to whether the retail packages will have VR headset bundled.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is expected to feature 32GB internal storage (expandable via mcroSD), 4GB RAM and a high-resolution display.

With the addition of four modes of operation like Single, Single Plus, Feeds and Immersive, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will reportedly incorporate an enhanced fast charging technology. Moreover, the device will have a rectangular home button on the all-black device with a possibility of a fingerprint sensor.

Ever since the pair of devices supposed to be that of Galaxy S7 Edge reportedly passed through Indian Customs, there are widespread rumors that the handset will feature a 5.5-inch display. We don’t have exact information about the type of display, but we expect AMOLED with Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

Likely to be powered by a 3600mAh battery as an FCC label confirmed it, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will be shipped with two different processors for each region.

While China, Verizon, Sprint and US Cellular variants will supposedly feature Snapdragon 820 SoC, the unlocked models for international markets including AT&T, Canada, and Korean options may equip Exynos 8890 processor.

Talking about the camera specs, Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge might have a recently showcased BRITECELL camera technology. However, there is no indication as to whether this sensor will be used in S7 Edge.

Featuring a smaller and one-micron pixel size sensor in addition to 1.0 µm low light sensitivity, WDR Technology and Phase-Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF), the 20MP rear camera is rumored to be included with S7 Edge with a reduced module height of 17 percent.

With the device bearing the model number SM-G935FD passed through Taiwan’s National Communications Commission certification body in January, the dual-SIM Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge will likely support all major connectivity options i.e. 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth including that of wireless fast charging.

Recently, leaked images featuring date and time of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge launch went viral on the Internet. While Samsung hasn’t revealed the pricing of the device, there is a chance of a freebie like VR headset since the company gave away wireless chargers to those who pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy S6 in 2015.

However, according to the recent reports, the cost of Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge to is to start at €800.
