Samsung Galaxy S5 mini gets better with Android 6.0 Marshmallow update

Samsung at last divulges much-anticipated Galaxy S5 Mini

Samsung has started to roll out a new update to Samsung Galaxy S5 mini smartphone for users. The 800MB update is currently hitting the Duos variant with the software version MMB29M.G800HXXU1CPI5. After the update, you will be able to work with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.

According to a user on the XDA Developers forum, the Galaxy S5 mini duos (SM-G800H) received the Marshmallow update OTA yesterday afternoon in Russia. The user also shared few screenshots to confirm the availability of the update.

As of writing this, we don’t have any information as to when the update will be rolled out in other emerging markets. It’s still unclear as to when Marshmallow will be released for other variants of the Galaxy S5 mini worldwide.

Samsung Galaxy S5 mini features a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED HD display, Exynos 3470 processor, Mali-400MP4 graphics, 1.5 GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8MP rear camera, 2.1MP front-facing snapper, 2100mAh battery loaded with Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
