Samsung Galaxy Note 7 cases on sale at Amazon India ahead of August 2 launch

Spigen has already started selling cases for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7. The world’s leading manufacturer of premium phone accessories has listed its range of cases and covers for the Note 7 on its official partner website. A few of the cases are also being sold on Amazon.in.

A total of twelve covers have been cataloged. Out of them, six are in stock right now, and rest are up marked as coming soon. Three of the cases are also being sold on Amazon India. There is no case or cover for any edge variant of the Note 7. This may indicate that Samsung may not launch the Edge version of its upcoming flagship this year.

Galaxy Note 7 Release Date and Specs

The Galaxy Note 7 is scheduled to launch on 2nd August this year. The smartphone will sport a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD 1440P resolution. The Gorilla Glass covered multi-touch display will cover about 79 percent of the total front surface are of the device.

As usual with Samsung flagships, the Note 7 will come in two variants with different SoCs. The US version of the phone will come with a Snapdragon 821 chipset. The quad-core processor has two 2.3 GHz Kyro cores and two 1.6 GHz Kyro cores. The graphic performance is in the hands of the Adreno 530.

The Global variant of the Galaxy Note 7 will be powered by the Exynos 8893. This has two high-performance Exynos M1 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz each and two power-saving Cortex A53 cores running at 1.6 GHz each. A 12-core Mali T880 MP12 is the GPU here.

The Note 7 will presumably sport 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM along with multiple internal storage options like 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB. A microSD card of up to 256 GB storage capacity can be inserted into the phone. The smartphone will run the latest Android 7.0 Nougat with Samsung’s UI layered above it.

A 12MP camera will house at the rear of the Galaxy Note 7. The will be equipped with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and LED flash. The selfie camera will possibly be a 5 Mega Pixels unit.

The upcoming flagship from Samsung will almost certainly sport the latest USB Type-C port with a possible inclusion of a microUSB to Type-C adapter in the box. The phone will be resistant to damage by dust or water and will come with an IPxx certification. There will also be a brand new Iris scanner in the Note 7.
