Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) specs leak reveal 8MP rear camera, 3GB RAM and more

The specifications of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) has leaked online, almost completely. Leaker @onleaks today posted an image, which shows the Galaxy A8 (2016) make a run through Antutu benchmark. He also posted the first renders of the phone on September 13 showing smartphone in black color.

Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) Specifications

The image reveals that Samsung Galaxy A8 (2016) will have a model number SM-A810F, which is in sequence with the Galaxy A8 released last year with model number SM-A800. The smartphone will run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with a fingerprint scanner on the front. It will be powered by Samsung Exynos 7420 processor along with Mali-T760 GPU to take care of the graphics.

The Galaxy A8 (2016) display will have 1080 x 1920p resolution if we go by the listing but it doesn’t mention the screen size. Rumor mills speak of either 5.1-inch or 5.7-inch display size. The smartphone will have 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage. The camera specs stand at 8MP rear and 5MP front.

The fresh leaks are almost same as we learned a while back, except the camera details. Earlier the specs revealed that the back and front would sport camera of 16MP and 5MP respectively. Now the benchmark listing indicates lesser specs. Things will be clear only with the official confirmation from the company.

Other than specs, the details leaked yesterday disclose the dimensions and design of the forthcoming Samsung handset. The Galaxy A8 (2016) is expected to come with a full metal unibody. The device will ship with dimensions of 156.5 x 77.5 x 7.3mm. Through a thorough inspection, the Galaxy A8 2016 edition looks a lot like Galaxy S7 with relocated speaker grills.

There is no information about the Galaxy A8 (2016) launch date, but we are expecting the smartphone to come by 2016 end. Stay tuned to PC-Tablet for more details on the same.
