Ringing Bells LED TV booking starts August 15, deliveries from Tuesday

Noida-based company Ringing Bells, also the maker of Freedom 251 smartphones, announced that it would open the booking for its first 31.5-inch HD LED TV on August 15. The delivery of Ringing Bells LED TV Freedom 9900, deliberately priced at Rs. 9,999, will start from August 16 and the product will also be delivered in the cash-on-delivery (COD) mode, as announced by the company. “Like our handset, we are expecting a good response for the television,” said the company assuring their customers that they will get a good quality product at an affordable price especially in the current market scenario.

The Ringing Bells LED TV display comes with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, plus a contrast ratio of 3000:1. It is said to have two HDMI ports, USB ports, and speakers. The booking can be done on the company’s official website.

Earlier Ringing Bells had announced that it had started delivery of 65,000 units of smartphones. It also made a statement saying that they were elated with the response that they have got for the delivered units.

The company had started deliveries in selected states like West Bengal, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, New Delhi, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. After the 65,000 units are delivered, the number of these devices in the country will be 70,000 in number.

Ringing Bells’ founder and CEO Mohit Goel assured that the company has been successful in keeping its promise to consumers.

However, if history proves anything, the company has barely kept its promise. The demand for budget devices in a country like is substantial. Taking advantage of such a demographic is easy. However, the overwhelmingly dubious status that the company has so far maintained is sure to affect the demand this time around.

The non-ingenious technique by the company may not have backfired in the first round, but it should this time. However, there are a few factors that prove the genuinely this time. For instance, the TV is fairly competitively priced, and of course, they also have COD. This essentially means ‘no harm, no foul.’

Speaking of marketing techniques, the likes of OnePlus have done quite well, but solely on pure marketing tactics. The technique applied by Ringing Bells has often been tagged as dubious in the marketing world. However, the price of their upcoming TV does give a little hope.
