In an attempt to boost sales, French car manufacturer Renault has reportedly announced a massive price cut of its Lodgy MPV. The 85 PS variants of the MPV has witnessed hefty price cuts by almost Rs. 1 lakh. However 110 PS variants have not received any price cut.
The company launched the Renault Lodgy back in April 2015 to rival the likes of Toyota Innova and Honda Mobilio. Though it has not seen much success in the Indian market primarily because of intense competition from Japanese manufacturers. The company hopes this hefty price cut would help bolster the lackluster sales of the MPV.
Under the hood, the Lodgy features a 1461cc dCi diesel engine which is available in 85 PS and 110 PS options. The former churns out 200 Nm of torque while the latter generates 245 Nm of torque. The 85 PS model is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, while the 110 PS variant gets a 6-speed manual transmission.
Below are the revised prices of the Renault Lodgy in the Indian market. All prices mentioned below are ex-showroom (Delhi):
- Renault Lodgy 85 PS Std variant gets a price cut of Rs. 96,000, now costs Rs. 7.59 lakh.
- Renault Lodgy 85 PS RxE variant gets a price cut of Rs. 80,000, now costs Rs. 8.57 lakh
- Renault Lodgy 85 PS RxL variant gets a Price cut of Rs. 55,000, now costs Rs. 9.44 lakh
- Renault Lodgy 85 PS RxZ variant gets a price cut of Rs. 34,000, now costs Rs. 10.99 lakh.
The company is also celebrating its fifth anniversary in India. As a part of the celebrations, Renault has announced a slew of exciting offers for some of its popular models. You can now get an exchange bonus worth Rs.25,000 on the Duster SUV while the Lodgy buyers will get a gift cheque of Rs. 20,000. Also, the company is also offering corporate benefits of up to Rs. 41,000, insurance and exchange bonus with the Pulse.
