Reliance Digital recently expanded its LYF Wind series portfolio with the introduction of new Wind 5. Priced at Rs. 6,599, the LYF Wind 5 listed on the company’s official site is available in two color options – Black and White. The smartphone will soon be available across all offline stores such as Reliance Digital and Digital Xpress.
The Reliance LYF Wind 5 is a dual-SIM phone that boasts a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 294ppi. Powering the device is a 64-bit 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM. It comes with 8GB internal storage capacity with a support for MicroSD card that allows the memory to expand up to 32GB.
On the photography front, the Wind 5 has an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, while the front camera is a 5MP shooter. The camera includes features like gesture capture, face detection, auto scene detection, video snapshot, face detection, and smile shot. In terms of connectivity options, The Wind 5 has 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB, and GPRS/ EDGE.
As per the company, both the SIM slots are 4G enabled. The devices measuring 144.6×72.8×8.4mm weighs a mere 137 grams. It houses a 2000mAh battery, which is said to deliver up to 6.5 hours of talk time and up to 140 hours of standby time on 4G. The smartphone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
