Kickstarter-funded OnePlus has officially announced its latest flagship phone – the OnePlus 5. The smartphone starts shipping globally on June 27 and starts at $479. Here’s all you need to know about the phone’s specs, features, and price.

As already speculated, the smartphone sticks to a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Under the hood, the smartphone packs the latest Snapdragon 835 processor bundled with Adreno 540 GPU. The OnePlus 5 comes with 6GB of RAM bundled with 64GB of storage along with an 8GB RAM model featuring 128GB of storage. The company is using class leading LPDDR4X RAM on its latest flagship.
The highlight of the smartphone happens to be its dual-lens primary camera setup which sports a combination of 16MP+20MP sensors.The company claims that the smartphone can capture 34 percent more light than its predecessor the OnePlus 3T. Not to forget, it also comes with a portrait mode along with 2X zoom capabilities. The rear camera also comes with a Pro Mode which allows users to tweak the white balance, ISO levels, Shutter Speed, and more. In addition, the OnePlus 5 also gets support for RAW images. For selfies, the smartphone packs a 16MP front-facing shooter with selfie flash and auto-HDR.
Juicing up the smartphone is a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charging support. The company touts that half an hour’s worth of charging is enough to get you through the entire day. On the connectivity front, the OnePlus 5 supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi and comes with dual-SIM capabilities.
In terms of OS, the OnePlus 5 ships with Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Oxygen OS on top.
OnePlus 5: Pricing and Shipping
As already mentioned, the global price for the OnePlus 5 starts at $479 for its 6GB RAM model. While OnePlus did not officially announce the price of the 8GB RAM model, leaks suggest it might retail at $549. The phone starts shipping from June 27. That said, the OnePlus global store has an Early Drop option for some users who can expect to see their device start shipping early from June 21.
