On the April 19, 2016, Apple announced the newest MacBook’s with upgraded processors, better battery life as well as in new colours. The new MacBook are now available in two variants for a price of Rs. 1,06,900 for 256GB internal storage and Rs. 1,29,900 for 512GB of storage in India.
Along with differences in internal storage capacity, the two also differ in the processors used. The MacBook with 256GB of storage comes along with a 1.1GHz Intel core m3 processor capable of speeds up to 2.2GHz with Turbo Boost, while the other with 512GB of storage comes along with a 1.2GHz processor capable of speeds up to 2.7GHz with Turbo Boost. Both variants come with a 4MB L3 cache and 8GB of LPDDR3 RAM onboard.
With a 12” retina display, the new MacBook comes along with a full-keyboard that is backlit for easy typing despite its small size, along with ambient light-sensors for both the screen as well as keyboard. The USB-C port comes with support for charging as well as for HDMI and VGA output. Graphics on the new system are updated with Intel’s latest HD Graphics 515 kit and the device comes with support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac as well as Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless connectivity.
A 480p FaceTime camera helps with video calls whereas the stereo speakers and dual-microphone enable crisp sound. Along with the same standard 3.5mm jack, the new MacBook comes along with extended battery life of 10 hours on the web, 11 hours on video playback and 30 days on standby.
Rose Gold is one additional colour introduced to the previously available ones of Gold, Silver and Space Gray when picking the new MacBook 2016.
