Motorola Moto G4 Plus and G4 have leaked online already and will be officially launching in India tomorrow. The alleged Motorola Moto G4 Plus likely to have a large cross section of the bottom side of the front panel followed by a large physical button, which is supposed to contain a fingerprint sensor.

Even though the specs, pricing and availability details are not disclosed, it is confirmed that the device will be equipped with a fingerprint sensor as per a statement from a top Lenovo executive back in January 2016, which currently owns Motorola Mobility.

We are not sure about the real meaning of the Plus in the Moto G4 Plus, but it could signify a large 5.5-inch Full-HD display with an integrated fingerprint sensor.

After scrutiny of the leaked image of Motorola Moto G4 Plus, we can infer that the company is veering away from its 2015 design. A front-facing speaker below the display as seen in 2015 line-up of devices is missing from the latest image. There is a possibility of Motorola to integrate speaker grills either on the top or bottom side portion to enhance the sound clarity.

According to a statement disclosed to the press by Chen Xudong, SVP of Lenovo and president for Lenovo China and Asia Pacific in January 2016, all Moto-branded handsets to be launched in 2016 will ship with a fingerprint sensor.

Xudong, in a statement also clarified that the company will not release any Moto branded smartphone which is smaller than 5-inch display. Hence, you can safely assume that there Moto E will not be released in 2016.

While the premium devices will be tagged with Moto, the budget handsets are expected to bear Lenovo’s Vibe moniker. However, you need not have to expect more than 15 new smartphones from both Moto and Lenovo in 2016.

Earlier in April, we spotted a handset named Moto X3 with a 5-inch display on India’s import-export website Zauba. We expect the release of new Moto devices towards the end of the summer like in 2015, and hence, it will take a couple more months for the new devices to be available on the market.
