Moto X4 2016 specs rumors: Shatterproof display and August release date

2 Min Read

Earlier this year in February, Lenovo-Motorola launched the first shatterproof phone Moto X Force in India. Reports suggest that they are gearing up for the launch of a second one. It is expected to be launched in August, this year.

Sources say that the company is going to launch the models without the shatter-proof screen, at a lower price, as well. At the moment, Motorola has the widest range of smartphones in the market. They cater to the widest range of customers.

Leaked Specifications:

A report by Mobipicker suggested that the Moto X 2016 or Moto X4  will have a 5.5 inch AMOLED display along with a resolution of 1440p as opposed to its predecessor which had a 5.4-inch screen. It is also rumoured that there will be two variants of the phone, the Vector and the Vertex.

The Vector will sport a 4GB RAM (an upgrade from 3GB in Force). Other features include 21 MP rear camera, fingerprint scanner, 32GB of internal storage, 2GHz Snapdragon 820 processor and a 2600mAh battery.

On the other hand, the Vertex will be a lower version (most likely to fit a lower budget) of the Vector. Some of its features will be the same, except a screen resolution of 1080p,2.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 16GB of internal storage and a 16 MP rear camera.

Lenovo’s consistent approach of releasing different variables has worked well, over time. We have seen it with Moto E and Moto G.

The X series has been doing very well, too. The shatter-shield display seems to have caught a wave in the market and is soon likely to have the other makers in the run too.
