Meizu has launched its new flagship smartphone M3s on June 13, 2016, and they come in two variants: 2GB RAM with 16GB internal memory, and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal memory. The device features a delicate metal body with four options in color: silver, gray, gold, and rose gold.

It sports a 5-inch HD display (1280×720 pixels) under 2.5D curved glass protection. The dual-SIM phone runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and is powered by a Media-Tek octa-core processor along with Mali T860 GPU. The smartphone features a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.

Both the variants of the smartphone are equipped with a 13-megapixel rear shooter with autofocus and LED flash.
The selfie enthusiasts can fiddle with the 5-megapixel front facing cameras as well. Also known as Meizu M 3 metal, the phone is endowed with a 3020 mAh battery and the company claims that the battery will last for a day with moderate usage.

Nothing has been said about the availability in the international market but as is customary, the phone could be released in India after 3-4 months. This budget phone is a part of a strategic routine followed by the company to continue to cater to a wide population. Chinese companies like Xiaomi and OnePlus have adopted this technique and have had much success in it.

Internationally Meizu is yet to make its mark. Considering the specs and prices of their recent phones, it may not be a far-fetched hope. The previous phones launched by the company in India haven’t done as well as their counterparts from Xiaomi and OnePlus, but the company has gained some reputation since the launch of M2.

Meizu M3s embeds FotoNation 2.0 intelligent beautification technology in combination with already existing Face AE facial exposure strengthening technology. The mBack home button and mTouch 2.1 offer fingerprint identification and fingerprint payment.
