Mahindra Bolero Power+ with mHawkD70 engine launched: Price and spec details

Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the new Bolero Power+ paired with the technology-friendly mHawkD70 engine at Rs. 6.59 lakhs. Available in three variants – SLE, SLX & ZLX across all exclusive Mahindra dealers pan India starting September 12, the mHAWKD70 engine is capable of delivering 13 percent enhanced power.

According to company sources, the new Bolero Power+ series offers 5 percent improved mileage than the currently available Bolero. The new vehicle delivers 52.5kW (70bhp) with a torque of 195 Nm. The new Bolero Power+ features the same space as the existing counterpart and offers a total of 7 seats.

Commenting on the launch, Pravin Shah, President & Chief Executive (Automotive), Mahindra & Mahindra disclosed that the Bolero has been India’s No 1 SUV for 10 years in a row from 2005-06 to 2015-16. Moreover, the launch of new vehicles signals not only the evolution but also the innovation of the powerful brand.

Bolero Power+ comes with an engine immobilizer

A key feature of the newly launched Bolero Power+ includes an engine immobilizer which automatically shuts down the engine. However, this will happen only if any key other than your key is used ensuring the safety of the vehicle.

Shah said that the main aim of the company is to improve the product value proposition. Hence, they have introduced the new Bolero Power+ with the mhawkD70 engine, which is designed to deliver power, mileage, and an elegant driving experience.

Bolero Power+ offers technology-specific features

On the technology arena, the new Bolero Power+ includes a digital instrument cluster, a Driver Information System (DIS), and a voice messaging system. Furthermore, the new fuel-saving Micro Hybrid technology on ZLX enables the vehicle to intelligently switch the engine into the standby mode when not required. According to company sources, this will decrease fuel consumption in an eco-friendly way.

Bolero Power+ with blue vision headlamps

Manufactured with the signature front grille and masculine bumpers, the new Bolero Power+ features the blue vision headlamps. It also offers the contemporary body decals to add more style and sporty look and feel.

Mahindra & Mahindra partnership with Ola

Recently, Mahindra & Mahindra established a strategic partnership with Ola to empower 4000 driver partners across the country by 2018. The main purpose of the alliance with the app-based cab operator is to boost the vehicle sales to Rs. 2600 crores. With a special focus on financing, the company is dubbed to help driver partners to enhance their daily income and better living standards.
