Lenovo has confirmed the release of its upcoming flagship Lenovo Z2 Plus in India (Zuk Z2 in China) under the Zuk series. The company took to Twitter and said, “Wait for it….. NOT! #FastForward”. Moreover, Lenovo also uploaded an image of a red and black impression of a smartphone with the message “Impatience is a Virtue”. Although the Chinese company has announced that the smartphone is on the way, we don’t have any confirmation about the exact date or month. In India, the Lenovo Zuk Z2 will launch under the name Lenovo Z2 Plus. To recall, the ZUK Z2 was officially launched in May 2016 in China at RMB 1800. It remains to be seen as to how much the smartphone will cost in India.

If you inspect the image posted on the tweet, you will be able to view a big superimposed ‘Z’, which signals the arrival of the Lenovo Zuk Z2. Confirming the development, an official Lenovo spokesperson disclosed that the company would launch Lenovo Z2 Plus in India, which is touted to be the successor to the Lenovo Zuk Z1.
Lenovo Z2 Plus Specifications: 4GB RAM, Snapdragon 820
Lenovo Z2 Plus is expected to carry the same specifications as the Zuk Z2 smartphone launched in China earlier this year. The Lenovo Zuk Z2 Plus will most likely feature a 5-inch FHD LTPS IPS display with a pixel density of 441PPI, Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 graphics, 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage loaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
The main drawback of Lenovo Z2 was the inability to expand the internal storage. We will have to wait and watch whether Lenovo will add the microSD card slot into the new variant.
The rear camera will be equipped with a 13MP sensor with a f/2.2 aperture, PDAF, and LED Flash. The smartphone will offer an 8MP front-facing snapper with a f/2.0 aperture.
Lenovo Z2 Plus Features: Slow Motion Video Recording
The main attraction of the front camera will be the ability to capture slow-motion FHD recording at 960fps. Powered by a 3500mAh fast-charging battery, the Lenovo Zuk Z2 comes in Titanium Black and Ceramic White color variants.
The Lenovo Z2 shipped with fast charging technology with an ability to charge up to 83-percent in 30 minutes via Quick Charge 3.0. We expect the new Lenovo Z2 Pro also be equipped with the same feature.
Lenovo Z2 Plus Connectivity features
In addition to the fingerprint sensor, the Lenovo Z2 Plus offers support for accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass. Interestingly, Lenovo has already integrated support for the Indian LTE band 40.
