After receiving a good response to the launch of its new smartphone in the Indian market, LeEco, has plans to launch its VR headsets in India by June.

Termed as Le3D Helmet, the VR headset has a 5.5-inch 2K LCD display with a pixel resolution of 2560 x 1440p with a seventy-degree field of view. The function and design of the VR are quite similar to that of Samsung Gear VR, which was launched in India on 5th of January.

The company states that one wearing Le3D Helmet would get a feeling of sitting in the 8th row of the cinema, just 15 meters away from the screen. No official details on pricing of the device have been announced yet, but considering the US launch price of Samsung Gear VR of $99, we can expect its price range to be around Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 6,000.

Earlier this month, LeEco launched two smartphones in India, Le Max and Le 1S, priced at Rs. 32,999 and Rs. 10,999 respectively. The company received a positive response from Indian consumers as the company received around 3,00,000 registrations for the flash sale of phones on Flipkart on the 2nd of February.

Chief Operating Officer of LeEco India, Atul Jain refused to comment on the price of the headset and said that actually he is expecting a bigger number by the time the sales begin.

Jain further added that the company had a lot of production capacity and roughly around half a million smartphones are sold each month in China. .
