LeEco Le 2s leak confirms Snapdragon 821 SoC and QHD display

There have been several rumors saying that LeEco is planning on a new launch- a new smartphone in September. On one hand, some reports suggest that the smartphone will launch at the IFA 2016 in Berlin, on the other hand, some other reports hint at a September 9 release date. The smartphone in question is the Le 2S. As the name suggests, this one will be the successor to the Le 2. A few leaked images have surfaced online showing what the smartphone may look like.

The first of the images was spotted by GizmoChina on Weibo, and it shows the front of the LeEco Le 2S and there barely any bezels. The 2.5D glass, and the volume control and power button on the side. The second photo that was shared by XDA shows the antenna strip at the back. The antennas are placed at the top and bottom of the device, just like what we have seen on the Meizu Pro 6. Interestingly, Apple is also expected to adopt this design on its upcoming iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus.

LeEco Le 2s Specifications

Based on what we have seen so far, the Le 2s is likely to feature a 5.5-inch display sporting a QHD resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, and 8GB of RAM along with 64GB internal storage. A few other rumors also suggest that just like the Le 2-series, the Le 2s will also not have the 3.5mm audio port, and opt for the USB Type-C port paired with CDLA technology, instead.

While other details are scarce at the moment, it is highly likely that the next LeEco will be unveiled in less than a month’s time. The war between companies with specs has been on for quite a while, not. The start of the 6GB with the likes of OnePlus 3 has opened the gates to a new reality, where such unrealism is possible. With 8GB of RAM, this phone can be expected to give unparalleled. It is hard to say whether these rumors have any credits but, the anticipation is surely building. Talks of an 8GB RAM in the Le 2S has added fuel to the fire.

The Chinese company is yet to mark a significant landmark in India, but the growth rate looks promising. Besides, at their prices. Being one of the primary consumer concerns in India, the pricing has to be ideal.
