LeEco Le 2, Le 2 Pro, and Le Max 2 release date in India announced

LeEco (formerly known as Letv) is geared to expand its Le smartphone ecosystem with a range of new smartphones in India. The Chinese technology company is sending out media invites for an event on June 8 and speculations are rife that the company will launch Le 2, its pro version Le 2 Pro, and Le Max 2 at the event.

LeEco Max 2

Launched in China last month, the smartphone packs incremental upgrade in terms of specs. LeEco Max 2, without any doubt, is a top of the line smartphone. It sports a 5.7-inch QHD display with 515 ppi pixel density and is powered by the latest Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 chipset. The dual-core 2.15 GHz Kryo & dual-core 1.6 GHz Kryo ensures smooth functioning along with Adreno 530 GPU.

LeEco Max 2 comes in two variants – 32/64 GB with 4 GB RAM or 64 GB with 6 GB RAM, which is maximum ever found in any phone. The rear and the selfie shooter are 21MP and 8MP respectively while the 3100mAh is enough for a day long usage. It has Android 6.0 Marshmallow pre-installed with the company’s own eUI 5.6 atop.

Le 2, on the other hand, boasts the same display size of 5.5-inch as of Le 1s. Featuring Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 chipset with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, the smartphone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The rear snapper is a 16MP with autofocus while on the front sits an 8MP camera perfect for selfies. The 3000 mAh battery, as well as the connectivity option, remains the same. It has got 3 GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity.

LeEco Le 2 Pro

Talking about Le 2 Pro than the smartphone touts a 5.5-inch display with a pixel density of 401ppi. It features a MediaTek MT6797T Helio X25 chipset paired with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. The company is offering a storage capacity of 32GB and a 4GB of RAM. Just like the other two offerings, this one also gets Android Marshmallow pre-installed. The primary camera is a 21MP and the front has an 8MP shooter.

None of the phones above hold a 3.5mm jack, but a Type-C 1.0 reversible connector instead.

Readers are advised to take this information with a pinch of salt as we are yet to receive an invite.
