The images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge have surfaced on a popular technology news portal. Posted by Evan Blass aka @evleaks, who is a leading technology leaker, as an update to his original news post, the images are reportedly the press renders of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.
While the picture of the regular Samsung Galaxy S7 is displayed on the left side, the image of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was embedded on the right side. We could see a black and blue color background with 12:45 and Sun, February 21 on the lock screen of the display. With the major portion of the screen has been occupied by Blue color, the notable difference is the omission of dark blue color, which we saw in 2015.
Interestingly, the data mentioned on the display coincides with the upcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC), where Samsung is expected to unveil the devices. If rumors are to be believed, Samsung will release the two devices, when the clock ticks the time mentioned on the display.
Upon careful inspection, we noticed that the overall design of Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are more or less the same as Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Featured with a thin design with less bezel, the upcoming S7 and S7 Edge+ flaunt a bigger front-facing camera and a surprisingly new rectangular home button.
While we can clearly see the back navigation arrow on Galaxy S7, the same is not clearly visible on the S7 Edge+ and looks dimmer.
At one stage, we saw rumors emerging on the web that Samsung will launch three phones – Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, and a bigger Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge+. However, as of this writing, we only have reports about S7 and S7 Edge. There is a possibility of S7 Edge+ variant, which Samsung will release as a surprise at the launch event but we don’t have any confirmation.
