Huawei’s Honor 7 is expected to see the Android 6 (Marshmallow) update in the coming two weeks. Huawei will push the update to all users of the Honor 7 after the Beta-testing stage of the final updated version, which has already begun. The update was initially announced in December 2015, from which time, users have anticipated the update for two months.

On the 15th of February, HonorEU tweeted to its followers “Beta testers of Android 6 Honor 7 started to receive the final version via OTA. All beta testers will receive the OTA update in stages.” Another tweet mentioned “After Beta testers, all other users will get the final version of Android 6 via OTA. We assume it will be in the next two weeks #honor.”

The Honor 7 took everyone by surprise in 2015 by offering clean and minimalistic design, great build and more than acceptable specifications for a mid- priced phone. For those that did not enjoy having Huawei’s EMUI skin running on your Android, the coming of Marshmallow will lift any restrictions you may have faced.

The Premium Edition of the Honor 7 that is set to be launched soon will come with the Android Marshmallow pre-loaded onto it. What is certain is that the phone will sports 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.

Rumors say the Premium Honor 7 will have a 5.2” HD display, a 20MP rear camera, and an 8MP front camera; to be released in 2 colors: ‘Gold’ and ‘Mystery Grey’.
